1.go to start....
2 run... (it's under search)
type in: msconfig......
click the start up log....
it will bring up a list, find yahoo ...
uncheck it..
restart your computer..
when it starts up it will say that it has been changed,
click ..OK

Login in yahoo messenger, u can see 4 icons on the top (Messenger, Contacts, Actions, Help). Click on Messenger, select General, and uncheck the box "Automatically start Yahoo Messenger with Voice".

OK i used to wonder the same thing what I did is went to the messenger screen and pushed sign out and then it won't automatically pop up until u sign back in or u can go to the messenger click on preferences the uncheck the box where it says atomically sign in when i start my computer or When Yahoo! Messenger comes up, unclick the box that says Automatically sign in

first of all go to run in the start menu type msconfig go to startup tab and thenuncheck yahoo messenger fromthat list. restart your pc your problem wil be solved

reconfigure your start up menu. And be sure to always uncheck the "start up when log in" when downloading a new program. Its a pet peeve of mine and I hate having everything pop up at once.

go to yahoo messenger and go to options...then deselect the option of starting when your computer starts. simple as that

when you go to your web site before you put in your password look down and theres a box that is probily checked read it and woo la!

that is a good question... what you need to do is click the box that says something like auto-start or something of the sorts... thats what i did and it worked....
