How to treat sunburn
These suggestions may help to manage the symptoms of sunburn:
Avoid further sun exposure until the redness, peeling and pain have disappeared.
Drink plenty of water to replenish your fluid levels. Dehydration is another potentially dangerous side effect of too much exposure to the sun.
Take cool showers, and apply cool compresses.
As soon as it becomes comfortable to do so, apply a moisturizing cream to the burnt area to keep it moist and supple. Even though it will not prevent peeling, moisturizing will help prevent the new skin below from drying out. (Chemists stock a range of sunburn treatments that can be rubbed or sprayed onto the skin.)
Severe sunburn
For severe sunburn, or if you are experiencing blistering, headaches, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or severe pain, you should seek immediate hospital treatment.
Other than this, time to heal.

yea. i just had sun burn. get a pain remover called Sooth-A-Caine from banana boat.
and then also put aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. You should always put both of the stuff on every nite b4 you go to bed! Then you skin will start to bubble. Then in about 1 week the skin may start to peel. THAT IS A GOOD SIGN. then that means there is only a few days left for your skin to hurt. But sometimes, ( this happened to me ) it wont bubble, it will just sort of stop hurting. But if you got SUPER SUPER REALLY REALLY BAD burnt. Then you should put the stuff on 2-4 times a day for it to heal a little better bc only if you put it on 1 time a day with that bad of sunburn. Then it would take almost a month to heel! Trust me. or else, get more help from your mother or father. they should kno a lot bc back then, when our parents were kids, there was NO such thing as sun screen. so they learned a lot and what to do.
Hope I Helped!

I get sun poisoning easily and I'm not suppose to be in the sun for any long length of time. I had a prescribed cream for my sun poisoning. But afterwards I followed up with Austrailan Gold aloe soother with tan extender (it really helped take the sting off). I hope it helps :) Good luck, I know how bad sunburns are!!!

Get some aloe vera gel to soothe it while you heal. A sunburn is just like any other burn. It won't come off in the shower, it takes time to heal!

Put Noxema on it every couple of hours. I just got over a bad sunburn (2 days in the sun with no sunscreen). The Noxema brings the heat out. You have to reapply every couple of hours as the Noxema starts to dry up.

two options:
1. If there is any bubbling of the skin or any abnormality outside of the skin being dark red (purple is really bad), you may need to get medically checked.
2. What works for me and many of my friends is to take a very hot shower. While the pain is excruciating, if you can deal with it, the heat of the shower will draw out the sting of the burn. At least it works for me and a handful of friends that I have told this to.

Ouch, sounds bad. There are lots of products but the one you may have in your house now is good old fashioned Noxzema. put it in the fridge so it gets nice and cool then slather it on. or Solarcane can be purchased and applied via spray. Also it works if you take a really really hot shower, the pain of the burn gets drawn out by the hot water. drink lots of cold drinks, keep your body cool, and lots of lotion because the dryer your skin gets the more the burn hurts.

Well first, why would you do that?!!!
Anyway, try some aloe vera. Also, if you want to draw out the heat, use some vinegar. I know it sounds weird, and it doesn't smell great, but it works. It always takes out the red for me.
