Open AVG Control Center, scroll down and select Update Manager. With Update Manager selected, click on update which is located at the bottom of the window. You can also schedule AVG updates to be automatically downloaded everyday. To set it up, open AVG Test Center and click Scheduler.

If it says, AVG virus definitions are out of date, then click on "check for updates" and if it says, AVG is out of date. Uninstall it and visit www.grisoft.com for free AVG antivirus software.
