If you are not interested then don't act interested. Had to give him a hug? No you did not have to give him a hug. You can be polite and say that you are just not interested, but you are flattered that he asked you out. Playing games is not the way to go. Honesty is the best policy, then you are not wasting time trying to figure out how to get out of going out with him, and he won't waste his time thinking you are interested when you are not. There is no crime in not being interested in someone. You have the right to pick who you like, and no one should tell you otherwise. But don't string this dude along because it gives your ego a boost, that is cruel. Be up front and tell the truth, if he is really a good guy then he will understand, if not then oh well what have you lost since you did not like him to begin with. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

He definitely seems to be moving kind of fast. Go out with him once and ask him if he could slow things down for you. Maybe after you go on a date you may find he is really nice and you like him. If not, let him down easy. Tell him you really don't feel the chemisrty and just want to be friends. But give him a chance! You can't judge a book by its cover.

I've been in that situation be4. DON'T send a friend to tell him that you don't want to go out with him. Just try to calmly tell him that you aren't ready 2 B more than friends. It worked for me. He might seem bummed but don't let that make you feel guilty he'll get over it in a few hours or days. (depending on how much he liked you.)

Don't pity date. As much as girls may think they're helping, they're actually hurting. The guy will either eventually a) pick up on the fakeness of it and feel embarrassed and bad, or more likely b) become obsessive and weird and convinced you like him to the point of following you around. An overall inconvenience and disservice. :)

So be honest with him and tell him you don't want to be with him. Make up an excuse, like you don't want to be in a relationship, or you don't know him well enough or something. Or just tell him the truth and tell him that you don't see him that way.

if you don't like him, don't send him the wrong signals....that may lead to a very very worse broken heart later on when you break up w/ him... don't worry...just tell him you don't like him that way...hope this helps!
God bless!
