not have any great friends when you're 14 years of age? what i mean by that is, i havent really met any person my age that is like people describe 'true friends' (really compatible, laugh about anything, care about your feelings). the people ive been hanging out with this year dont share my sense of humor, close in on each other and laugh at dumb things in their own little world, and it seems like everybody has those 'great friends' that are so compatible with them. it feels like everything was fine last year, but this year, i strated to wonder how people get along soo well with others? maybe i just hung out with people wayy too different than me. what do you have to say about those 'close friendship' that seem so great? are they really as perfect as they seem?

I went thru years without a friend like that! I bothered me like it does you. but by chance, I finally had found a friend that is like a sister to me now. years later after she married and moved to a new town, I found a new friend...we grew up together and she is now one of my best friends. "great friends" arent easily found. Hang around some other ppl and see what they have to offer. there's always 1 person that shares the same thing you do. OH...dont be afraid to speak to different ppl. just saying hi to someone may even trigger a friendship somewhere!

I was once 14 too, and I remember how much I wanted to have a true friend, but it seemed as it was impossible for a lot of reasons. With years, I got friends walking into my life, and some of them were close friends, but as far as "true" friends...that is very hard! And if you ever find them hang on to them!

Best friends are not always guarenteed. Sometimes we go through life never ever having a true friend at all. Think of it like this, Best friends are the brothers and sisters God forgot to give us. Also 14 is still pretty young. Give your life more time. Best Wishes.

Yes- its normal- trust me- the people you go to school or activities with will NOT be your friends for life. You will meet true friends in college/at work.
Right now the people in your age group are great acquantices to hang out with but nothing more-

i dont think that most people are lucky enough to find a great firend at 15
some are but most of the people that your talking about sound like ther faking the friendship
you will find a great firend one day everyone does
it could even be your husband/wife(meaning that for eveyone ...not calling you gay)
dont worry about it most great things come to you when your not looking for them
but if you do find that person dont pressure them because then you may lose that great friend!

its normal. sometime those people might be putting on an act and not being themselves, you kno laughing at others jokes, etc just to fit in, even if they dont understand whats going on or dont even find it funny. anyhow, your still really young, i didnt find any really close friends who i shared a lot of interest with till i was 19 and in university..in the meantime get to know everyone, and keep friendly with them all, you never know who you might become friends with later on.and its good to expose yourself to all kinds of people, since you can learn a little something from everyone. and be yourself. good luck with everything..

It is normal to be where you are at as far as friends go. Just remember that true friends will come along and they will be worth the wait!
