Violence is never the answer younger brother, you should have reported him to the school for the theft of your money. Were you absolutely certain that he was the one ? Did you get your money back as a result of the violence you perpetrated ? What if he comes back with someone bigger or more of his friends and they do even worse damage or even kill you ? These things usually escalate into worse and worse situations and bottom line, someone's Child gets seriously injured or worse. It seems to me that young people are not being raised today with the concept of Honor and usually result to cowardly acts to settle their petty differences. I'm sorry, but I have to side with the Principal and if it was my son ( He is 15 and so far hasn't resorted to this kind of behaviour, hopefully because I have raised him to believe that violence is wrong ) he would have more to worry about from me than the Principal's suspension. I do not use physical threats or that type of punishment, but he would lose all his privileges including I would sell his Xbox 360.
I know how preachey that may sound to younger brother, but it is true that violence is wrong and you must learn never to do that again OK.

No but you would be in detention. The kid that stole your money would be suspended and I would talk to his parents. The reason why you would be in detention is because you fought back when you really should have gone to a teacher. Violence is not the answer.

Violence doesn't solve everything. You should have confided in a teacher or the principal and explained the situation. You got yourself in trouble and prob in trouble with your parents. Maybe you can think of better ways of resolving problems like these while you are at home on suspension.

Yes, but did the other kid get suspended too? He started it but u did hit him... He should get suspended too if he didn't. but... u shouldn't have fought him. My teacher always told the class that fighting doesn't solve anything u should just talk to him and talk it over with him. if that doesn't work, ask an adult. If the adult doesn't listen, ......... i guess u have to fight. But fighting makes u and him a worse enemy. he would try again probably. BEWARE!!

Yes, I would. Fighting is not the way to solve problems. However, if you could prove this other kid stole from you, he would be in even bigger trouble.

Yeah -- instead of beating the kid up you should've gone to a teacher and he would've been suspended.

Yes. You should not retaliate, even though the other kid "deserved it." What you should have done is gone to an authority figure, or pick your fights after school and off of school property.

You for fighting......the other for stealing, making you get into a fight with him (considering the fact we found out it was true he did stole your money).
