This is a very sensitive issue, especially if you can check some of the questions here on yahoo, you can see that people does not want to change, in the older generation yes I understand but if it's the youth and young adults who does this it's just shows that we are not going anywhere, it's so sad especially for us black people because you would see just the funny comments people pass like we look like monkeys(From Dennis) and we have smelly armpits those are silly racial comments, but what can we say it takes different kind of people to make world and for the world to be better we need to appreciate each other.

I think we are all the same it's just the skin colour and the privileges some have.

Please check this one of my colleques sent it to me.
A White woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man.
Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air Hostess. "Madam, what is
the matter," the hostess asked. "You obviously do not see it then?" she
responded. "You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to
someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat."
"Be calm please," the hostess replied. "Almost all the places on this
Flight is taken.

I will go to see if another place is available." The Hostess went
away and t hen came back a few minutes later. "Madam, Just as I thought,
there are no other available seats in the economy class. I spoke to the
captain and he informed me that there is a seat in the business class.
All the same, we still have one place in the first class." Before the woman
could say anything, the hostess continued: "It is not Usual for our
company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in the first
class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be
scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting." She
turned to the black guy, and said, "Therefore, Sir, if you would like to,
please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in first class."
At that moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had
Just witnessed stood up and applauded.

You are lumping every human into one category. Just because some people are racists does not mean we all are. Folks that insist their race is supreme above all others are ignorant of all the benefits every other human can offer by even the simplest of acts such as saying hello. I do not follow this ideology just as ardently as said people do not follow mine. Racism is something that will never die because, just as I taught my children not to follow it, other parents are teaching their kids to do exactly that. Religious differences are difficult to solve since, like everyone else out there, I don't care what faith you follow, just don't push it on me or hurt anyone in the following of it. Nothing gets me angrier faster than some bible pusher preaching to me about their point of view that I do not want to hear. Religion will start fights all over the world and has been for centuries. Like racism, or in this case, a form of it, it will never end as long as one religion wants to convert the world. Excellent question, but one with no real solution I'm afraid. Good luck!!

Its another system of Control. Just as stereotypes are. Keep your mind free and hope to breed it out of society. I for one cant stand being watched carefully (by employees, mostly the older ones) everytime I go into a store.

Most of it is ignorance and not knowing ny better. Often times racism is taught from birth. Racism still exist and it even occurs inside races. I believe that if peole have God inside of their hearts then there will be no room for racism.

Because a small minority like to think they are above others and some people just like to attack and they find a excuse whether it be colour culture or religion. These people are just ignorant fools and are best ignored

Freud called it the "Narcissism of minor differences". We're so similar, and yet we hate each other. I think it's because we're insecure. We accumulate things, we want to keep them, we don't want others to have them, and 'others' are people who we don't trust - who look different, are from a different tribe/race/whatever. We fear them, we don't trust them, and we don't like them. Not me though, I like everyone. I'm talking on a grand scale.

Because some people are affraid of others because they are different. People fear what they don't know, sometimes fear becomes too great and transforms into hatred.
