Of course, FLORIDA, since I am a native! Honestly the gulf coast is the prettiest IMO. It is no surprise that most of our gulf beaches have been rated #1 by Dr. Beach every single year. (Once they win the distinction, they are retired.) If you are looking for beauty, pristine surroundings, and things to do...Ft. Desoto is my pick. You can rent a canoe, camp (beautiful camping, tho is very hot here now), swim, visit the Fort, take the ferry to Egmont Key (historic island with yet another fort), or even take your dog swimming at the dog park.
Siesta Key has the finest white sand in the world...quartz. It can be crowded, but is gorgeous.
Sanibel/Captiva Islands are also primo. Captiva has rebounded from Hurricane Charley nicely.
Take a boat ride to Cayo Costa Island, where you could camp as well. We did...but I would not recommend that now due to the heat and mosquitos.
Honeymoon Island, Caladesi State Park, Bradenton, Anna Maria, and yes even Clearwater. My favorite of all is Passe-a-Grille Beach which is the southernmost point of St. Petersburg beach. It is a historic little village that is sadly largely upscale now. It is still cool tho.
Hope that helps. I have also been to the Atlantic a lot, but it is not my favorite. Water is colder, murky, and often dirty (the beach at Daytona is disgusting.) We have stayed at Flagler Beach because it still retains that old Florida feel. I am just not a fan of the East coast.

for the time of international conflict 11 human beings went to the videos..in reality comedy became being mass produced by utilising Hollywood to boot as Musicals! All civilians are in a conflict invironment whilst the country is at conflict someplace! Are you suggesting that the Overtired, Overworked, Overtaxed US Citizen isn't entitled to a pair time away, it slow to loosen up? lots of people who i be attentive to get one holiday a year...Many get to circulate away below each week of that year...maximum of them take that element away below a hundred miles from their residences! And sure I do think of a few of those US Patriots will have fun with themselves at the same time as eating a lager on the coastline! Why shouldn't they? They earned it!
