When I was 12 years old, I had crushes on older guys and thought it was okay. It's easy to be infatuated with more mature people. But you have to understand that for someone as old as 17, even 14-year-olds seem like kids. Put it in this context - would the 12-year-old like a 7-year-old romantically? It's not for me to answer, but right now, I can't think of a good reason for the guy to date someone so young. I'm not saying that love is definitely impossible, but it's very rare.

I think the phrase 12 gets you 25 comes into play. What's going to happen if the parents decide to do anything. I hope they haven't sealed the deal, cause IF they did, he could probably get charge for rape.
For some reason some guys says I'll wait for, but come on, this is a dude, he's going to be waiting for her when he's 22 years old, in bed with another girl.
She's 12 years old, she know's nothing of life yet. She's still under her mom and dad's wing, she doesn't know how fast life travels. here's something that Eminem said from his song "Superman" "Maybe I'll love you one day"
that said I REALLY Don't see the guy waiting for her to move out of her parents house. She doesn't know what she wants, and I bet you this guy is thinking of one thing.
or we all could be totally wrong, but in essence this guy is a creep in my book. It's enough to bust a .45 in him....

I get an odd feeling that you're the girl, but i think the girl should find someone closer to her age, like 14 or something. When he turns 18, that relationship is illegal, even if he is in high school. And if he's not, and she really cares about him, she'd let him go before he gets arrested or something.

Oh man! My oldest daughter is 12... and I would personally kick his butt if I were her mom. Boys of that age have raging hormones that even trick themselves. It is NOT love, it's... the other thing. Tell your friend to have fun with her life and not to grow up so fast! And to give her mom a big hug and go out with her momma for some fun quality time. Sheesh sunny weather is here! Lots to do out there :)

It's a sweet notion, but in reality it will be hard for him to wait it out that long. There will be other girls his age coming and going from his life. There is always a chance that his eyes are going to only be on her, but with all the contriversy of age, it's doubtful. After he turns 18, she'll be jail bait for him. Will he be willing to go to jail for her?

lol that boy has no business with a girl that young. Hes gonna end up in jail after dec if he keeps this up. I'd say he should leave her alone till shes 18, after that do whatever floats your boat.
