The doctor OB/GYN should be able to guide you better. The antibiotics should not affect the fetus but you need to make sure that its clear.
Clamydia can cause cervical cancer and/or PID or pelvic inflamatory disease. These two conditions are serious and can cause infertelity or even death. Your boyfriend should also take care of his condition. Since this condition is silent he might of had it for a while.
That is why the rule of thumb should be to use a condom if you are going to have sex, no matter if he is the boyfriend or not. STDs are a serious problem in this country among your age group, do not become a statistical number!

Though recognised more recently as a potential danger to the fetus and a possible risk to mothers, chlamydia is now reported more often that gonorhoea. Sexually active women under twenty five are particularly susceptible. Chlamydia is the most common infection passed from mother to fetus, which is why chlamydia screening in pregnancy is a good idea, particularly if you have had multiple sexual partners in the past, increasing your chance of infection. Since about half the women with chlamydial infection experience no syntoms, it often goes undiagnosed if not tested for.
Prompt treatment of chlamydia prior to or during pregnancy can prevent chlamydial infections (pneumonia, which fortunately is often mild, and eye infection, which is occasinally severe) from being transmitted by the mother to the baby during delivery.
Though the best time for treatment is prior to conception, administering antibiotics to the pregnant infected mother can also be effective in preventing infant infection. Antibiotic ointment used at birth protects the newborn from chlamydial, as well as gonorrhoeal, eye infection.

Follow the doctors regiment. You and the baby will be fine and yes you will be able to have more children. I'm 36 and have two children and I got it from my husband. You have to remember that it is a sexually transmitted disease so finish all meds and still use protection and communicate with your boyfriend. Good luck

Just take the meds and it will go away with out effecting the baby. Also, you need to have a talk with your current boyfriend, because this type of stuff just doesn't pop up out of thin air. You know you got it from him, so ask him where the hell he got it from.

I was in the same boat before I got pregnant, you don't even have to get it from your boyfriend, you can get it from a toilet seat..As soon as I got rid of it I got pregnant lol You'll be fine, it's not harmful to the baby if you get it cleared up..

Chlamydia is not a life-long STD. If you have been treated for it, it should no longer be in your system, so your baby is not at risk.
