Yes, Limewire is legal.
If you use it for illegal coping of copyrighted files you are breaking the law not Limewire.

Legal? No, Not the free version, Maybe not the paid version either. Because you're not paying for the songs and the artist didn't make any profit when you download it for free (obviously). That also gives alot of computers viruses so i don't suggest it.

it depends what you use it for. it is a p2p program so it takes files off of other peoples computers like music or movies.
If the media is copyright it is illegal
(most media on lime wire is copyright)
one of my Friends got a $2,000 fine for using it to much.he was not happy

limewire is not illegal but using it to download copyrighted material is. It is also completely full of virus. avoid like the plague unless yuo want to lose everything on your computer. I have reformated 7 computer due to limewire, it is deadly full of spyware adware adn viruses. use legal downloads www.itunes.com or torrents (illegal) that way you will be safe from viruses.

Hi,
Yes it's. Instead using Lime wire (which is VERY slow) -I recommend you DC++ (direct download link: http://optusnet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/dcplusplus/DCPlusPlus-0.674.exe).
Good luck!
