Still using a CDRom drive?? It's time to upgrade to a DVD Rom and start watching DVD movies on your PC.

If they are AVI or MPEG files convert to VCD or SVCD format. Use TMPGenc Plus media files processor.

Nero Burning Rom will burn CDRom disks to suit the VCD/SVCD format.

But why bother? VCD has the lowest end in terms of viewing quality! SVCD is OK but u are grabbling with disks.

You are gonna end up with 2 disks for VCD and 3 - 4 disks for SVCDs, but they will play on your DVD player on your home TV.

If your movie files are in Xvid or Divx format, simply burn as DATA onto CDRom disks. Xvid or Divx are approx. 600mb plus sized. You can only view them on a PC. Alternatively, there are Xvid compatible home DVD players on the market now.

Only if it is really short, because CD-R don't hold much (about 10 minutes of DVD quality movie). And most DVD players won't play them, only other computers. Need to use a DVD-R for movies. If you purchase a burner, you should get software with it that will let you put the movie onto the DVD.
