weve talked about it and he said we can but not right now bc he doesnt have his self together.we been livin together for 7 months now.. how will i know its time??how long do i wait

i know he has a good heart and full of intentions. i dont question his faithfulness at all. i just think he is really scared of marriage

Before the birth of your child.
If he's not ready now, he will never be. How long does it take for this man to realize that you two are together for life, because you have a kid??? He doesn't want to commit, but he is already committed. What's he gonna do, disappear from his daughter's life?

Brand New Monkey has a very good answer on here. My question to you is, why are you letting this guy lead you on.
If you are already living together and raising your daughter, you are already committed. I personally think that he does not want to get married to you, and he is just making up excuses of why he cannot "do it right now, because he has to get himself together."
I think your boyfriend needs to grow up. He should have gotten himself together as soon as he knew you were pregnant with his child.
And now this kinda sucks for you....You have been living together for 7 months....If the living arrangement is working well there is no excuse not to get married. But unfortunately sweetie, you cannot make a man marry you.
Honestly, you should not wait for this man. He sounds very immature and a waste of your time. A man should want to marry you. You should never get married if there are a lot of doubts and questions surrounding the issue. You seem to have a lot of them. Both of you would have known a long time ago if you thought marriage was going to be the right thing. When you feel like you are waiting for someone, you are ruining your life in many ways.
You have to live YOUR life. Do not let him prevent you of your goals, dreams or aspirations. I honestly think that this guy is probably free-loading off of you and is just looking for a place to stay. You guys are basically just roommates if one of you does not want to committ. Don't play house sista. Give him an ultimatum (I know those don't always work) or tell him to get the heck out of your house. You deserve way better.

If he wanted to marry you, he would've asked you by now. He would also have gotten himself together to be the kind of husband you deserve. He is enjoying the ride, and you're letting him. If you really want to be married, I suggest finding someone more deserving. You don't want to teach your daughter to settle by settling yourself.

well it depends, if u really and trully love him then you can wait if hes serious but if its been on and off then u can never bee sure if hes true but hopefully ull make the rite decician
