Who have you seen that's blown the stage away? And to counter that... who have you seen in concert that put on a really lame show despite the hype of the artist?

Bob Dylan. He totally lives up to the "good night/bad night" philosophy of live music. And though he may not come across as noticing the audience, he totally plays to them. He swaggers around the stage with this unimpresssed scowl on his face, but you can tell he's having fun. And as for the audience, depending on Dylan's mood, you don't always get all the hits. He may throw the most obscure or unreleased tunes at you and maybe play a classic in the encore. You just never know what you're gonna get, and that's what makes a Dylan concert an experience. I've seen AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith, Page/Plant, Pink Floyd, and as good as those were, NOBODY can touch Bob Dylan live.
Having said that, Aerosmith didn't live up to the hype. I've yet to see the Stones live, but I think Steven Tyler is getting just a little bit old to be carrying on like that. Actually they all look pretty ridiculous in those costumes, all wrinkly and definitely looking their ages. I might have caught them on an off night, but they were very sloppy. You'd swear they never cleaned up their act in the eighties. And all they played were the hits. There were no surprises at all- very dissapointing.

All three Pearl Jam concerts I've seen were amazing, including one in Chicago where they covered Ray of Light by Madonna. Black Crowes, Rage Against the Machine, Mannheim Steamroller all great shows.
Foreigner, the band had it together and sounded great, but singer Lou Gramm was drunk. Air Supply, I fell asleep on my sister's shoulder.
Been to over a hundred concerts starting in the late 70s.

Rush put on the greatest show I've ever seen - twice! They're made for the stage! They're older too, and they just rock!!!
Dave Matthews was by far and away the WORST concert I have ever seen. I have never walked away from a concert angry. He plays maybe a total of 5 songs because he turns every one into a 20 minute jam session.
