The urgent want and need to be with you for the rest of your life because he loves you. Well that's what motivates me to get married even though I still have almost 20 years till I do get married.

Depends on the man of course.
Seriously though, here are my qualifications for marriage material...
1. A woman who loves me and only me.
2. A woman who knows who she is and doesn't need a man to give her an identity. That is to say, a grown woman with a mind and philosophy of her own.
3. A woman who will please me sexually no matter what I ask of her.
4. A woman who supports you in the hard times and the good times.
5. A woman who carries her weight in the relationship.
6. A woman who has some taste.

Hopefully love. When a man falls in love with a woman and realizes he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life without her. There could be a lot of deciding factors - maybe different for each man. Hopefully it's for the right reason - which would be love.

Can only speak for me, I want to be married because: the only way I will ever get married is when I meet a woman who I know is the perfect partner for me. I.e. - she makes my tummy turn and we have loads in common. Once I meet this woman, I will feel soooooo proud to actually call someone my WIFE! Wow, its sooo strange, can't ever imagine it really happening. reckon I'll die single lol :)

There comes a time in a man's maturing process when he feels lacking and incomplete in spite of "success", friendships and social life. It stirs in him a desire for a woman in whom he finds love, companionship, and and sexual fulfilment. He searches for a woman that he esteems as a wife and a mother of their children. This is a natural happening, mind you. When a man reaches this stage of maturity, he is not afraid of a lifelong committment because he is confident of his manhood.

lack of wisdom, wanting to loose all material possessions and his mind in the end because he is thinking with his small head which is exactly what he will not be using after he gets married

I think that you'd have to get inside a happily married man's head to get the answer to that one...getting inside any man's head is a scary notion, and something I think I don't want to try. If you succeed, you may be scarred for life. Don't get me wrong, I love my man. I just don't want to know how his mind works. If I truly understood a man, I would have to be noe. NO THANKS.

The right woman. A woman looks for a man she can change into what she wants. A man wants a woman who will never change.

Depends on the man....... but common reasons I guess would be to secure an easy shag... to stop being nagged about it........ or because apparently you get cheaper car insurance when you're married.
