Were you hoping that the grocery fairy came and put something new in there since the last time you looked?

I'm laughing so much reading all of these great answers!
It's nice to know I'm not the only one that does this.

YES!!! And the grocery fairy is REAL! I had it reinforced once when I found a dove ice cream bar in the back of the freezer that I didn't see the first 5 times I looked. It was like my prayers were heard, so I know it works!!!

Here's to many more years of grocery fairies - even if it only happens once every 20 years.

;-)

I don't believe in a grocery fairy, but I do tend to look in the refrigerator several times for nothing in particular within short periods of time. I don't do it because I'm hungry or my refrigerator is empty but because I am bored and I enjoy eating.

My husband and I do this all the time. He says hes looking for something to snack on, I do it to get cooled off, due to running errands for him lol. Or I hold the freezer door open, acting as though I lost something. I stand there and feel the artic breeze blowing in my face. I love popsicles, so my freezer is always full of them. At times we stand together looking inside the bare shelf refrigerator and thinking, wow we need to get to the store and fill those shelves. Have fun reading these, and have a great day!8)>

I always check to make sure the light goes off! Yes most people have this habit. Put several signs on the door like,"He who stuffeth puffeth or A second through the lips is eternity on the hips. Also put a mirror on the fridge door and this habit will stop immediately!

Actually most people do it. Its not because they are looking for food. Its because most people dont know what they want in life an sometimes this comes out in the form of 'staring into the refridgerator without knowing what to do'

YES, I DO, AND I GUESS I KNOW THE GROCERY FAIRY HATES ME, BECAUSE HE MAKES ME GO TO MARKET TO BUY FOOD

SERIIOUSLY, I AM OVERWEIGHT, NOT HUGE BUT TOO BIG, I AM STUCK AT HOME BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE, AND I AM TRYING TO GET HELP ETC,, WHAT ALL THIS MEANS IS WHEN I AM NERVOUS, OR VERY ANGRY, OR BORED, OR WAITING FOR SOMEONE THAT IS VERY LATE, OR ALL THE ABOVE, I G TO THE REFRIGERATOR, AND OPEN IT ]
AND IF I AM STUCK AND THRE IS ALMOST NOTHING TO EAT, I KEEP REPEATING THIS STUPID THING,,,I MAY NOT BE HUNGRY, MAYBE MY BRAIN IS GOING BONKERS, AND THINKS THE REFRIGERATOR IS AN ENCYCLOPOEDIA OF ANSWERS,, OR NOTHING INSIDE THIAT COLD BOX INTERESTS ME,, AND IT IS JUST FRUSTRATION.. THEN I GO OVER TOO MY RUM BOTTLE AND TAKE A SHOT,,

that is a good one, I really enjoy reading it! well not only do "I" run to the Fridge...when I open the fridge, all the rest of the family runs to look too. That mean dog and cats wake up from there naps, just to see what's new in there...
