well i was looking in an restoration catalog and i seen that only 57 1963 impala z11s were made so i was wondering what was a z11 cause i never heard of that modle/trim

I beleive it is a lightweight (many aluminum peices) 409 car for racing.

It was the 409 engine with dual Carter AFB four barrels and a stupidly high compression ratio. Somewhere in the 12.5-13.0 to one range.
