My daughter has fallen in love with a young white male. He treats her with much love and the upmost respect. I am concerned beacuse of the looks they get from white and black people.

Have you ever heard the saying, "Love is blind"...Be happy for your daughter. If she's happy with who she's with, then that's all that counts. Don't worry about what other people have to say or the looks they give, they are the definition of the word ignorant.

dan p you made no sense on what you answered. To the person who asked this question, race does not have a factor in love. if this person treats your daughter with love and respect , and truley adores her you have nothing to worry about. Does he treat you and her father good? If so give them your blessings. Remember your not just loosing a daughter your gaining a son in law also., and grand babies to go with it. As long as both family (assuming both of them are close to their family) are fine with it, no it shouldn't be a deciding factor.
However if one of side have problem with it then yes... It's not worth the risk having a racist murder a member of your family over something stupid.
