CD/DVD Drive: After reading files on a CD-ROM Win Explorer will not update the file listing for another CD.

This same problem exists on 3 computers. 1st a Aria MSI OS WinXP Pro, 2nd a Dell OS WinXP Pro and 3rd a Compaq OS WinXP Home. All have the latest Windows updates.

Thanks for any help, Ed

Hai Friend,

Your information is lesser to identify, first confirm explorer listing the CD contents after inserted and read, did you able to open the files.

If the above mentioned happened false, check your CD after cleaning your drive.

The data area may be damaged or CD-RW or CD-R, if the type of re-writable may be more number of times also makes the trouble. Then have changed the CD type like DVD.

Did you "Rip" the files off of the CD? Use the media player to rip music files into the "library". If you don't rip the files, they won't be on your hard drive to find.
