Should we leave Iraq now?

Come on, Iraq is much worse now than it was a few years ago. Where there was once one dictator now there are endless competing warlords. And our boys and girls are in the middle of it. Can anyone honestly think of a reason we shouldn't leave now and support our troops??

Now??? We should have left 3 freakin years ago when GW stated it was over. They found Saddam, there were no WMD's, things there are getting worse and worse, not better, enough of our guys have been killed for absolutely nothing, nothing is getting accomplished, ummm...I could go on and on..
YES, we should get our guys out of there.

Reading some of these answers, it's obvious that many people here are inflicted with the disease called liberalism. Whether it's right or wrong to be there, we are there. You can't start something and not finish it. The media only tells the bad stories. They don't want you to know any of the good that is going on there and the progress. The majority of people in Iraq want help to rebuild the country so they can have a normal life. To leave now will be the end of Iraq. It will be consumed by civil war. The US is not controlling Iraq oil. The Iraqi governemnt is. I say to all these people who are so anti-oil. Are you wiling to sell your car? Have you stopped taking the bus? Have you given up buying anything made from petroleum products? Do you refuse getting mail delivered at your house because the delivery trucks use petrol/ gasoline? Liberal fools!

Not yet. Even though the U S is nearly bankrupt, countries are still lending money to the U S. Only 9 out 10 countries in the world think the U S is the next Nazi Germany. Might as well try for 499 out of 500. Halliburton stock has had a recent sell off. It is down over 10 points from its recent high. The U S needs to prop up their profits. The army recruiters are actually meeting their goals. As long as there are more pawns to sacrifice there is no real reason to leave.

We have become, not only a stimulus for the recruiting of terrorists, but just another militia working in the country. To those who say that we are building schools and hospitals I say that the Iraqis had those before we invaded the country. Besides, the expenses of the war, in addition to the tax cuts for the rich and other expensses such as those cause by "ear marks," are causing us to live by borrowing from foreigners. This, if continued, will spell the death of our standard of living and of our liberties. We should leave now!

Iraq is a huge mess. Even President Bush cant control it so how can someone like local Iraqi police can control it if US leaves?

And why would the President leave the country - US needs more free oil ! US is one of the greatest consumer of petroleum.

It would be morally wrong to leave now, we made this mess so we can at least stay and try to sort it out, I appreciate that out troops are still there and it is dangerous but we made it dangerous and until we stabilise the infrastructure we cant go anywhere

Why did we go there in the same place? so many innocent people have been killed just so that bush can get sadam hussain. wasn't there possibly another way to get sadam without turning iraq into a war zone. i don't think we are leaving iraq untill bush is satisfied.

Yes, we shuld leave Iraq now because we, the US citizens and and everyone who live in this territory is having the hardest time in what economy is about, we are having cut in every area: education, housing, employment,etc.

We should never have gone in and should definately leave now. We are not making it any better by staying just stirring it up more. The Iraqui`s dont want us there
