Artificial insemination is pretty expensive, and I heard that the average number of times you have to get it to get pregnant is 5 injections. And I'm not exactly sure but I think it can cost up to $1000 depending on where you live and your insurance. My sister-in-law is getting artificial insemination so I know it is hard and expensive.

How long have you been trying to get pregnant, and does your partner know? Seems silly, but is very important. I work in a hospital, but I can't claim to have a medical opinion. All I can tell you is what I know from my midwife. Some people try and try for years, but to no avail. It could be that you are just not a good genetic match. It could also be that he has a low sperm count, or that your eggs aren't very receptive. There are about a zilliom variables that go into fertilization. You should really look into all you options when it comes to getting pregnant. I do know that IVF is REALLY expensive and very stressful on everyone involved. I would definitely talk to your MHP before you actually try anything. You usually have to get their OK before you do anything, and often the only way to pursue your options is with a referral from you primary care physician or ObGyn, sometimes both in some cases. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

Just because they are injecting it doesn't mean it will work. It was 3-4k when we did it.
