You must be a resident of the state before you can get government assistance. Depending on the type of assistance you will be applying for, you will have to live in a state for a certain amount of time before you could be approved. I am not sure what type of assistance you are going to apply for but here are some links that may help.

Go down to your nearest hospital and tell them you want to kill yourself. You will get all kinds of government assistance.

it is easier to get if you are a resident of the state. why are you moving. you don't sound like you need help if you can afford to move.
