'Cause sooner, or later, humanity will completely **** up the Earth...

Beth, sounds like you have faith in humanity at all... After all you're part of it. Wars, or no wars, earth's resources are vanishing and not just due to our internal conflicts. Sooner, or later there will have to be some unity in order face some imminent problem. I somewhat see all the problems now and before as a learning process, sort of like a process of growing up, and hopefully those lesson will be applied to Mars and beyond if we ever get there.

Yeah. I reckon we should first study Mars in its pristine form for a few decades. By then we'll have the technology to terraform it, so we'll have somewhere to run to when we screw up Earth.

ya man there is a need to go to mars because there is a lot of danger thats coming towards the earth .
ya there are a few asteroids which are going to strike us soon so after that impact i think a lot of our planet going to be completly inhabitable and due to the growing population and the upcpming wars we will have to make a decision to go onto another planet

and as nostredomus said only the southern asia shall survive all these catastrophies on earth .
to avoid that from happening either we have to go on to another planet or just stay calm and die on the homeland america or what ever it is
man onemore thing i am not atall interested on the folklore okay

We definately need to, because here in a century or two we are going to over populate our own planet. Now we can't just start killing each other to stop it, so we need to work toward agriculture reform, and start teraforming Mars so we can inhabit it. Taking resources from other planets, such as perhaps venus which has an over abundance of atmospher could work, and in return we could actually be teraforming two planets at the same time.

I think there is already a superior race of beings living in caves under the surface of Mars. They probably are hoping we leave them alone.

I we cannot fix a ****ed up the Earth, how can we expect to make Mars habitable? Or, if we do have the ability to make Mars habitable, why don't we just use that ability to fix up Earth????

Why don't you just invade it, start a war with its evil population of rocks and piles of dust, suffer uncounted losses and then lose? Like you keep doing here on Earth.

I think that we should. One thing about that that I don't like though is that I might not be alive to see that happening. But oh well (can't do anything about it) But I think that those people that populate mars would be like those pioneers that came to U.S. for better life, I think it would be great.

not just mars, i believe its our task as humans to explore and conquer other planets and in the process bring life to them. not just in the solar system, but through out the universe.

Yes, we should and we probably will. I'd say within 200-300 years.
