Anyone had a HIGH cellular billing, because not aware of the expense of Text Messages ... (only to find out that the cost for this feature would only be $5.00 dollars per month)... Might want to blame the kids, however, it's not their fault, NOR is it ours. The cellular companies (I won't say which one), should BLOCK the text feature, until you ask & sign up for it, instead of billing (for every minute) before we even know we have the feature!!!

Yea my bill went up the first time i began using text because I didnt know that it counts when you receive a text message. I had 300 and I went over by almost the same amount because cell companies dont clearly explain some of their services. I think that you have to actually have a phone for a while to learn things the hard way. Cell companies should know the mistakes that some people make by now. By not clearly explaining things, it shows that they want you to mess up so they can make more money.

Sorry to tell you, it's in the fine print as part of whatever package you got. It's usually about 10 cents per text message, and with kids that can add up quickly. Go ahead and get the $5 per month feature.

soudns like you use verizon. go for the 5 bucks bc its worth it but read the fine print as theres only so many covered. i think its unlimited texts in with the 5 bucks a month but only 50 messages out to non verizon user phones then its the regular 10 cent deal or there charge. i think its unlimited to verizon to veriaon phones though. call customer support, they can give you a better idea.

yeah cell phone companies are really tricky about stuff like that. some companies only charge for sent messages whereas others charge for incoming (reading the message) and outgoing messages and charge like 10-20 cents. doesnt sound like a lot but it adds up, i knowww!

Sorry but you did not ask the right questions and read the contract CAREFULLY before signing up for the cell service. If you can't control your kids, how can you except your service provider to control and monitor them?
