my freind went to the er and was told that she had "low density to right thalamus" and we can not figure out what that meens can anyone help me out here

Have them get another CAT scan or MRI and another opinion.

the thalamus is part of the brain...you could always call the hospital and ask for further explanation. what did she go to the er for, if i may ask? it might help in figuring out what it is.

possibly lack of bone density in foot? calcium?

she should schedule an appointment with her fam doctor and ask him to explain what it is, and if there is anything else she should know.
