you will screw up your body really bad.
you can become dehydrated and harm your body.

I'm guessing you want to lose weight? laxatives are a stupid idea to lose weight. try exercising and eating healthy instead!!

like any medication you should only take laxatives when you require them medically. laxatives are not to be used as a magical way to lose weight. i would strongly advise against taking them if you don't need them for constipation.

No, you should not take laxatives every day. They relax your bowel muscles and it is very possible that over time, if you stop taking them, your bowel muscles won't know how to react. You don't want to end up with a colostomy do you?

"Using too many laxatives and enemas. Many people think of laxatives as a cure for constipation. But if you use laxatives too often, your body may forget how to work on its own. Heavy use of laxatives is not needed and can cause diarrhea. For the same reason, if you use enemas too often, your body may begin to depend on them. Too many enemas may stop you from having normal bowel movements."

If you are using laxatives because you are constipated then you need to see a doctor to find out the problem..but if you are using laxatives to loose weight this is not safe...in both cases you become dependent on them to have a BM, you could cause hyperactivity of your intestines therefore possibly causing a bowel obstruction (this is where you can't pass stool and become obstructed with the potential for surgery and or a colostomy..infarcting blood vessels in your intestines with possible loss of function or even your life...do I need to go on?

Die eventually (i.e. sooner than they should)/They will not absorb any nutrients from food eaten as everything will pass directly through. They will also become dehydrated, as they will pass more water than they should. They will basically shrivel up like and old prune! Not to mention the irreversible damage to the the bowel, where it will cease to function as it should.
Laxitives should only be taken when absolutely necessary, as a last resort.Try eating lots of unprocessed food and drinks lots of water instead.Eat wholegrains, fruit(esp. prunes, figs )and fruit juices and plenty of fresh veg.
Continous use of laxitives will cause no end of probs, when you stop you will swell up like a balloon, you body will hold tight to all the fluid it gets!
