This is mainly directed at liberals. Would you take the opportunity, if offered, to go to Iraq and show them how to set up a democracy based on your beliefs and politcal ideology? What would be your first steps to putting them on the road to a country even better than America? Here is an awesome opportunity to prove yourselves and perhaps overshadow the accomplishments of the United States.

Humanist - I served in the United States' military prior to getting my laptop. Can you answer the question or do you wish to just call me names instead?

What a great question... I love how it is worded.... you pretty much got what I thought you would in terms of answers though.

I am in Iraq now as a civilian contractor after my 3rd recall since 9/11. After my stint in Kuwait I joined the civilian team and am glad I did.

HUMANIST.... I AM HERE AND HAVE BEEN AS MILITARY AND A CIVILIAN, I AM NOT TOO SCARED TO BE HERE AND I BROUGHT MY LAPTOP WITH ME.... NOW SHUT UP OR JOIN THE EFFORT.

... first, I think that there are other countries that need our help more... like the darfur region...

but we are there now and back to the question...

I don't think I want to set up anything based on my ideas... if it's their government, it's going to have to be based on their ideas... if the nation doesn't believe in democracy, it won't work...

Overall I think the major problem there now is the security situation... zarqawi hopefully will help, but overall it's hard to get things done when the electric and water plants are sabotaged every time they start working....

to fix this... you will need more soldiers, like many generals asked for at the start.. without security, it's tough to talk about everything else that needs to happen...

Once you stabilize the area and hopefully cut out a lot of the assassinations and car bombings... then you can start forming a police and a military under stable conditions... and a government under stable conditions... the kidnappings and executions of government officials that go on now are far from stable...

I don't know how much better things would be... but I think this would be a step in the right direction

Interesting.. Why is question pointed at Liberals. Most don't believe in the Iraq war. What I often read here are comments from big mouth Repuglican warmongers who would be too frightened to leave their laptops, but are willing to see other peoples children die in the desert... Come on where are you now. deafening silence.

What planet you from? Today the people couldn't even drive their cars in daytime. Curfews, road blocks and check points, ID cards, yeah they are fast becoming like the USA. Hey, some people want to be free as in liberty not free as in oppression. Maybe they never had to do the sock hop at the airport when it was named after their leader.

Honestly no. Democracy is not for all parts of the world. I could mention a big one who failed at it Russia.
