I would recommend, beer, wine, and liquor. It is always the best way to get a baby to go to sleep.
Just kidding, please DO NOT put those things in your son's cup. The best thing you can do for him is to give him juice. I would suggest Gerber juice. However do diloute it i would put about 1/3 juice to 2/3 water. I would offer this a couple times a day. Your son does not need a cup with him 24/7. When you wate down his juice you are giving him a better chance of having healthy teeth.

Expressed breast milk only! He doesn't need anything else. I started putting water in the sippy when my kids were about 8 or 9 months old, juice after a year.

A 5 month old still needs more milk than anything else, but if you want to give him a treat you have to cut juice at least in half if not more with nursery water or sterilized water,, or else your going to have a bad case of baby diarhhea.
Milk in the sippy is ideal because it helps them learn to wein off the bottle or breast quicker.

Any kind of juice.. diluted. My daughter is 20 months and I still dilute her juice because she always has a yucky diaper after she drinks juice undiluted... my other daughters where the same way till about 2. Also I think it help having more water than juice... not so much sugar. You could also use water and breastmilk... A nurse once told me not to put juice in their sippies... Um.. NO. There teeth are fine. We brush them..

Hello, other people. This baby is only 5 months old! If he gets any juice at all it should be very diluted. But he shouldn't need juice. Why give him sugar when he doesn't need it? I would definitely stick to breastmilk or water.

Apple juice is good. Water is also good. You can give him formula or pumped breast milk if you want to partially wean him, some mom's like to do half formula/ half breast so they can leave him with a sitter occasionally. White grape juice might be okay, maybe watered down. Definitely don't start cow's milk until a year, but after that it would be good.

most fruit juices are ok. make sure their 100% natural and make sure you dilute the juice with spring water. juice is high in sugar and you don't want anything to disrupt him/her from having a good set of teeth.
