Old skool: You can't go wrong with anything by Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, Wilson Pickett, James Brown, The Spinners, the Stylistics, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, the O'Jays, anything Motown.

New skool: I have no idea (being an old fart).

listen to Muddy Waters, BB King, Some of Eric Claptons music
some of The Rolling Stones music, Janis Joplin, Norah Jones,
Joslyn Stone , the blues lady herself Billy Holliday, The Band,
Stevie Ray Vaugh, some of the Allman Brothers. Too many others
to name.
Some wonderfully hot , sexy music

I really think Norah Jones should be put in the R&B section, even though she's a little jazz and country mixed. I love the song "I've got to see you again" and "come away with me" very mellow, smoothly sung.
