I Know movies can become classics and not be old, but do you really think Hook is a classic, the one with Robins Williams

Yes. I agree with you. Anything made after - say the 60's shouldn't be called "classic" I mean I haven't seen any movies made after that time that I would call "classic" They should revert back to showing the old classics. It's a shame really.

classic doesn't have to mean old. classic doesn't have to mean black and white. there are many movies that once made, are dubbed as instant classics.

Some of the best movies were made in the 90's. It doesn't have to be old to be classic.

Yes, and I'm dissappointed about AMC doing it too.
I feel like they should show real classics...not stuff that you could just as easily already own. I have had a lifetime of understanding and wanting to watch black and white or other older films, that I have had to catch up on seeing those versus being born and watching the later ones as they come out. Make sense?
You have a very valid point!

well it would depend on the movie, but Hook? what the hell that wasn't even a decent movie, let alone a classic. Often they do have good movies but some times I think they let the intern into the video vault.

AGE has nothing to do with becoming a classic. if you want antique movies, then go rent them. but a classic can be dubbed so as soon as it becomes a household name or well known title.
