Well, most guys WANT to share their feelings, but due to the constraints of society and the negativity placed on homosexuality, no male would consider being "open" with other guys, or else be called a "fairy" or worse. I'm sure that with most guys, if you see that something is obviously wrong, and they say nothing about it, ask him about his problem when you two are alone (I'm assuming this question is about your boyfriend being secretive) and keep asking him ever couple of minutes minutes.

Each time he may have a stronger need to let out his problems, and eventually he may share all. After the first "breakthrough" he will find it easier to share with you. Guys are usually more at ease when they are alone with girls they care for.

because guys tend to be more of a "loner" even if they're around friends all of the time. They take care of things themselve, they make decision mostly by themselve, and they do things themselve. Girls on other hands usually are more social and need approval from friends. So if the guy fail at something, they're look down at by everybody. However if the girl fail, the whole group basically fail and people don't look down at that as much as the guy who failed.

basically in perfect world's eyes view (NOT EVERYONE WILL AGREE but... you get the idea) guys are suppose to be the one that take care of the girl and the whole household. So by being open, they basically risk giving away their vulnerableness which will make them very uncomfort. No guys like to admit they fail at something, so they aren't gonna to want the whole world know about it.

Plus they dont like anyone to tell them what to do. It's like as try to drive to some place you have been to many time only to have someone from other country sit by you tell you the direction to go.

i would say guys are more open than girls because the ladies always want to keep that outlook of being a lady but guys are guys and in a relationship that depends on the guy most guys don't like to show there sensitive side it is more the tough guy side but there are a few guys who have a tough side and a sensitive side so i hope i answered your question

in what way? emotionally its a factor of growing up i think. crying will get you nothing but ridicule unless you got real hurt or someone died. and other ways is just that girls kinda know how to cut to the bone so why open up till you can trust them.
