When my daughter was like 7 months old she was in her exosaucer, and turned to look at my front door, she looked at it and talked to the door for about 10 minutes. She continued to do this up until this day, now she will look at the wall, something in the hallway, or on the steps. I asked her one time when she was about 2 who she was talking to and she said, "angels mommy". About 6 months later, she started talking about my father in law and who he was. We had never talked about the man that she would know anything about him. She gave up his name and that he was her papa and he loved her. She can tell us stories that my husbands mother verifies that are something that only the two of them would know. When she was just over about 11 months old she was in the hospitial due to asthma. Not long ago, she was talking to me about it. She said remember when I was in the cage mom? I couldn't figure it out for the longest time. Remember, mom, when the nurses took the pictures of my lungs? Oh yeah now I remembered, yeah I remember honey. Mom, angels were there with me and told me no to be afraid. Freaky, huh??? So yeah I believe in angels.

Well there have been studies done and the results show that it is the way the light bounces off of things. See babies can only see in black and white for quite some time so the light creates shadows and such which entertains them. But it sounds so much better that they are seeing angels and that can never be disproved because it is a belief and a belief grounded in faith can never be disproved so there you have it. My round about way of saying of course it could be spirits!

I'm a believer! My son from as long as he's been able to smile and babble would laugh and smile and babble while in his crib while know one was in there.
We moved to a new place when he was 6 months old. Every night like clockwork he'd begin giggling and babbling while he lay in his crib. As he got older it gravitated into outright belly laughs and talking. My husband and I used to joke that he had guardian angels with a great sense of humor!
Well, two years later we had to move again and the guy that helped my husband move used to work for the apartments that we lived in. He explained that the building was a very old one and that many things happened there including a couple suicides and one homicide, and there was also a terminally ill child that died in the building we lived in. To that day my son still laughed and talked while he lay in his crib.
That weekend we moved out of the apartment into our new place and my son stayed with my mom during the transition. He came to his new home on the Monday.
We put him to bed later that night and he has never spoken a peep while he lay in his bed ever again. I believe a child's mind is so open and innocent that they can literally see things we have closed our minds to as adults.

I'm not really sure if babies see angels however I am pretty sure its possible because during the time babies are in the womb they are with God and this is also true for people that are close to death. I believe when we are born we leave God and when we die we return to God. Upon leaving and returning to God the angels are their to guide and protect us. The angels are there in the beginning and the end and possible in the middle.

My son had an "imaginary" friend for about 2 years, I wouldn't have thought much of it, but his name was Jason, and we don't know any Jasons, how would a 2 year old figure out that name without meeting one? I have talked to many mothers, some talk about imaginary friends of their kids as people they know. Others, like my son, give details of unknown persons. One little guy I know use to talk about the soldiers that came to visit him at bed time....
