Any sort of discrimination comes from people putting down others because they feel inadequate themselves ultimately.

Actually, "Rednecks' created their own name. They called themselves that because of all the work the did in the sun their necks would turn red over time. But take me for an example, I'm black and I'm from a small country-like town and when i moved to the city, people called me a redneck or a hillbilly.I don't necessarily get offended by it because I know where I came from.

True. I live in a small town of about 20,000. The town is a lot cleaner than most cities I've been in. Take Norfolk, Va. for example. There are few places you can swim there, because of pollution.

I don't think you really understand what rednecks are. It's not specifically rural dwellers. It's more of a specific personality type that tends to reside in rural areas. I've known plenty of suburban rednecks.
Where are you from?

Calling somebody a redneck isn't racist, because of the fact it is not a slur it particularly is used to place down yet somebody else's race. particularly, it shows type prejudice particularly than racial prejudice, because of the fact the term "redneck" many times refers truly to working type, rural whites particularly than to all whites many times.

Not all most of the time is a term of affection for real down to earth people. Yes some take it otherwise.
