you sure can - i would just make sure you have been around the age of the child you are going to sit for and know some first aid tips - CPR is always a good one to know you can take a first aid class in just a few hours on a Saturday - however this isn't necessary- but if you are sitting an infant make sure you know how to change diapers and feed them detail stuff like that - and just be responsible and use your noggin and you should do great!!

I started baby sitting at the age of 10. I always required that the parents leave a number where they can be reached, a doctors number if need be, and a Hospital that you can have a child taken if need be. They should also leave the number of a nearest relative if there is an emergency.

I started babysitting when I was 14. I had to take a babysitter's course offered by the Red Cross. It is a VERY helpful class to take. I highly recomend it.

depends on where you live some states have requirements like certification (CPR/first aid) classes and stuff however most parents don't even know about it so as long as its okay with the parents I say go for it

Yes you can, however, the best place to start is to take a "Infant CPR" class at your local hospital, sometimes they call it a "babysitters" class. When you are certified in infant CPR, you will be more likely to be hired as a babysitter!

I'm thirteen and babysitting seems okay as long as you're very responsible.

It all depends on the people asking you to babysit.
Some just want you to be responsible, others may want previous experience.
