The important thing is that you feel the baby move at least once a day. At 26 weeks, it is not unusual to not feel almost constant movement.

Now, if you want to "check" on your baby: lie on your left side (best circulation for the baby) and drink a glass of something REALLY cold. Wait 30 minutes and you'll feel the baby move. If your baby loves sweets, eating something very sweet often has the same effect...just lie on your left side!

Every baby is it's own. They all are different. My baby, she never stopped moving. Especially at night, or when I was walking around in the city, etc; and used to think my bladder was a football or something, lol. But every baby is different. Just because he or she doesn't move much doesn't mean it's not healthy. I'd recommend you talk to your doctor if you're really concerned about it; but the baby not moving much is not reason to be overly concerned; unless you don't feel your baby move in over 6 hours, unless that happens regularly. Best bet is to ask your doc; he'll ease your fears about it.

Sometimes the placenta is anterior. Meaning the placenta is between the baby and the outside so it may take a little longer for you to feel the baby.

I would called your doctor. That happened to me with my third pregnancy and he told me to go to the hospital. If I didn't listen to him, my daughter or I would have died. She is 36 now and has 2 children of her own. Listen to your body and call your doctor now. God bless & good luck.
