Cable/internet, electric, gas, water, trash/recycling, groceries. Plus the initial cost of moving, furnishing and decorating the apartment. Little things like pots and pans, dishes, curtains etc add up very quickly.

depends on where you are living but think of what you use every day - i had cable - Internet - electric- gas for heat if you don't have an all electric apt - trash - water - renting you wont have to worry about paying someone to mow a lawn - if you have pets you may have to pay a deposit for them - also get renters insurance most people don't think about it but its not very much and its one low payment a year - also think of food - gas - clothes - going out things like that - hope this helped good luck !!

Well lets see, of course the utilities, then food, if you want a garage that might be extra. Then the deposit, and in somecases, last months rent. If you want internet, and want good broadband that gets a bit spendy too. Then you want your couches, dishware, condiments, entertainment center, rugs, tables, chairs, things for your walls, second set of sheets. after your first apartment it gets easier. Keep looking on craigslist.org and you can get a lot of that for cheap

Well if you want cable, you usually have to pay. And you will have to pay for your electricity. And if your apartments don't offer paid utilities such as water, garbage...then you will have to pay for it.
