Yes, I did manage to wade through it, and it was a waste of time.
Rent the original one, from the fifties, or sixties, much, much more interesting and great special effects too.
Same title by the way.

You are wasting your time there are many things better than this movie for instance the producers or a comedy film even somethings gotta give is better than this film.

no its a great movie way better than the book. dakota fanning is a great actress. who ever said it was a waste of time apparently does not like science fiction. it has alot of action its great!!!

I watched in the Cinema when it was first released one weekday after work...found it good with cool special effects but it was bleak & depressing.

Most definitely. The first half of the movie is pretty good, after that it's all downhill.

it's pretty spectacular special effects,but i prefer the original from the 1950's
