There are some good camps out there.. like basketball or volleyball or football. Those camps are just for a couple weeks and not the whole summer. Let them take swimming lessons that's always a good thing. My local science center here in l.a. has a science camp for kids that's just a couple hours a day. Try those.

Any kind of summer camp is good. I am not sure where you live but the Boys and Girls Club has a summer program for only $15 for the whole summer. Also any school or library literacy program is wonderful.

Wish I knew the answer to that question too. I am in the same boat as you are lol. I thought about taking my kids fishing, and buying a kiddie pool. This is their first day off for summer vacation, and they are already driving me nuts. Love them very much, but mommy needs a vacation herself lol. Good luck

Well if you go to church there are so many things involved that keep them busy and with the right attitude. if they like sports put them on a team or camp. Go swimming, if they can't swim yet, them lessons, color with them, go to the park, sleepovers, dance classes, acting classes, basicly whatever their interested in.

depending on their ages,,,,have them make a scrapbook of the things they do over the summer. it will be a nice keepsake when they get older.
color pages
collect things from places they go to even if it is just to the corner for icecream
