With that in mind my friend, now imagine the number of millionaires that make up some of that population number thing. Heaps of people with lots of money hey? Now ask yourself why do we have the starving and the homeless, all those people who are in a deeper poo river than those that make up the richies. OK, My point or question or gripe is why don't all those really f**ken well off la dee dah millionaire folk donate a cool 100 thou each and fix up this place that we call 'earth' and prolong it's life and future so all of our kids and future generations can live a beautiful and peaceful life.

The reason is that people (some people) are corrupt. Donating money would be done more often if it worked. But the truth of the matter is that depending on what country you live in the money will never go to the poor people and even if it did there are not enough resources in their area for them to have a stable and healthy life. The assumption that donating $1000 would fix everything is based o n the assumption that human nature is all good and unfortunately, not all of it is.

That's the way of life it has been like that since the days after adam and eve left the garden of eden. It's called sin if adam and eve did not sin we all could be living a better life not just the rich.

Things will change, Angelina Jolie, Bill Gates (in their own way) have started a ball rolling and you and I will see which of the self absorbed, noses turned up, $1,500.00 dinner for two, people will follow their lead.

I say none of the ones who are not in front of a camera!

Because Greed breeds more Greed. I've come to realize the greedy ones (some of them, anyway) give mega$ to charity, whether it all goes to help, I doubt) I think if all the rest of us try to help more in our own communities, of ourselves, our time and $ if we have it, perhaps lives could be a bit less despairing. Reach out and touch someone who needs it and it will return tenfold to you.
