Most of the formula companies send free samples and "checks" which are good for free cans or $$ off cans of formula. Also if you have no job you should go see your state department of human welfare or social services (whatever they call it in your area) because you may qualify for things like Medicaid (a federally funded state run insurance), food stamps, or even cash assistance. Below I will put some links to the formula companies though.. they are not income based at all and they were a GREAT help when my children were younger. I think I started receiving the samples and coupons in my 7th to 8th month.. they send them early so that you can prepare.

I have seen signs in front of churches about pregnancies. I think the number is 1-800-438-4357 or 1-800 Get Help. You can also call 214-456-7000. It is to Childrens Hospital in Dallas, TX, ask to speak with a counselor. I have little girl clothes if that will help. I can have them shipped to you. Email me at jenneferlewis@yahoo.com. Keep praying. I was in your shoes and now I have a beautiful 15 month old daughter and an 8 year old son. I can' t imagine my life without my kids and I know someday you will feel the same way. Email me and we will figure something out together.

Speak with the local churches, especially catholic. They are really good about helping pregnant women. There is welfare, which you can ask about when you go in for wic. Since I dont know where you are, I cant give you phone numbers or addresses, which I will if you contact me. I wish you all the best. Good Luck!!

Not knowing the area you live in I can't give you specific names of places. Check in the phone book for pregnancy help centers, crisis pregnancy centers or some name like that. They offer free information on prenatal care, childbirth, and baby care. Most of them also offer free baby clothes and sometimes baby furniture and baby food. I happen to be the director of one in PA and know there many others in each state. They can sometimes offer info on other programs in your area. Good Luck!

Crisis pregnancy centers are a good place to start - just check your yellow pages.
Have you considered adoption might be best for your baby since eventually you'll be working full time and not be able to care for him/her?
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
