OK >>> great answers which I thought , but now here is more.
I have 'templates' that I found for 'free' use with their logo which is fine, they have been downloaded, unzipped .. on holding in my documents. Where should they be put so that they will easy to work with? MS Office .. Templates? under the program files? AND .. as a poet and painter I have a lot of pages that I want to use. can I use lots of different pages for my poetry .. and then again different ones for all of my glass .. and yet have them all connected?

take a look . if you will @ painterspen.com .. and go to my 'glass' pages and to my 'poetry' pages and you will see what I want to do. Not allpoetry should be on the same page as another. (hope you understand this) THANKS!!!

Hi, a website is what your looking at RIGHT NOW.
A template is how the website looks like.

If you change a template of the website, the website WILL look different (different colors, different layout on the way it looks, different sections etc...)

You can download templates, or buy templates. Once you get a template or make one yourself, you can MAKE a website.

A template is used to MAKE websites, you make the template (the way the website will look) first then you Add pages, or add Dynamic content.

I hope you understand now!

Good Luck, I was so breif since I assumed you are new to the internet world :)

A web set is most of the times a set of pictures for a banner, logo, buttons and other little graphics.. This is stuff you place within a web site..
A template is actually one big picture (normally cut into pieces) where you put you windows in..
See it like this ->
You have a window with a drawing on it.. The window represents your site (content).. The drawing is the web set, while the frame of the window is the template..
Hope this maked it a little more clear.. ;o)

A template is something you build your website on. A web set already has the elements included that you need. All you need to do with a web set is add content. With a template, you need to design everything from the bottom up. The buttons, backgrounds, images, etc. Hope this helps :)
