what if this person grew up this way and never had the surgery,and functions well as a man or woman...wouldnt there be a lot less hate in the world,if we where all born this way???

Hermaphrodites don't usually have both genitalia, more often then not there is a penis and a uterus/ovaries. Most children have to have the surgery while very young and then remain on hormone therapy the rest of their lives. So to answer your question, if a child born this way is assigned the male gender and later grows up to prefer the company of men then he is gay and vice verse.

I have had the privilege of knowing a hermaphrodite. On the outside he is definitely male - a pretty attractive one at that. but underneath he had breast and an enlarged cl-it - and preferred sex with women. He lives his life as a male, works in the drilling industry has been married and adopted his wife's daughter. So he classifies himself as straight. Although he does joke regularly that he is a lesbian trapped in a mans body!!!

The point is god made all children. And if children can be born with both sex organs are they going to he11? No; so it could also be said that one sex organ with the mind of the opposite sex could also be. Because you are a womyn that likes womyn makes you a lesbian but who says your spirit is not a male. depends on psychologically who they identify with. male or female. provided the parents did not go ahead and decide when they are children and being operate to take away one genital....also depends on both genitals which one is less form as well....

Great question! Maybe the classifications should be adjusted.

Instead of "gay" or "straight", we could say, "attracted to men" or "attracted to women"...

they are not.....they are classified as hermaphrodite. it's up to them later to choose which gender they are more comfortable in.....and thus the transexual operation
