I would guess you might have diverticulitis as it usually happens in the upper quadrant of the left abdomen (and the liver/gall bladder are on the right)..about an inch below the belly button and closer to the hip. Diverticulitis is basically caused by a small "pocket" in the intestine where food can get caught and will get infected. It feels like a tootheache in your belly. You can see your doctor for antibiotics which is what it would take to get rid of it quickly. You can also take something to make you have bowel movements and it may resolve itself. Either way, call your physician as this can be very serious if the bowel gets septic. God Bless.

pain from your kidneys would be on either side of your lower back. your liver is on your right side, just under your rib cage. and your appendix is also on your right side but lower than your liver. ask your doctor to check your spleen. thats on the lower left side of your belly (near your waist kinda) or you may have just pulled a muscle or something. BUT! pain is usually nature's way of telling you that something is wrong. so go see a doctor

If you don't drink enough water, it could be an early sign of a kidney infection/urinary tract infection.

On left you say? It's liver. If it hurts for more than a day,you should visit a doctor. If it hurts for less than a day, perhaps you were just pushing yourself to hard.

I think its your appendix, you should go to the emergency room before it bursts and you don't want to know what happens next! Best of luck!
