by law, it has to be where ever the thing happened, so if it was where she lives, your lawyer can file paperwork for you to have the court changed to where you are, so shed have to go to your court, good luck

You need a lawyer who could initially file the papers in the courts where the divorce occurred. It sounds like you were divorced in SD? Your lawyer should be able to represent you without you travelling, especially since your handicapped. You may have to pay big bucks. Most lawyers are just legal crooks. Try to find an honest one. They are not easy to find. Good Luck.

Well I think your lawyer could file the paper work and either you or you ex can be present by phone, I have seen this done in interstate child support cases

Your lawyer can file paperwork to have the hearing at you local court and for her to attend the court at her home area.

Or You could just have her subpoenaed and she may have to go to court where you are.
