There are various free anti virus programmes you can instal on your computer without having to buy them.. A lot of pople use the free AVG anti virus and I use Avast which I am very happy with and it does a thoughough scan ( 2 hours to scan my pc) there is also an online virus scan called 'houscall' but you need to have virus protection on your computer at all times and not just scan it now an then... I hope this helps

For antivirus, download free AVG antivirus from www.grisoft.com
This is a gud software as it wont slow ur pc. Furthermore, u must have an antispyware in addition to adware killer. So, i suggest u Windows Defender beta 2. I've been using it from a long time and believe me its the best protection. www.microsoft.com

Beware for anything you get free. some one once said there isn't a free lunch. In other words, a lot of "freeware" has their own hooks in their to track usage and sites visited. That information they get is then sold to companies. How else can the company / person supply free software?

That doesn't mean that there isn't any out there. Just be aware that most are not really free....

AVG Free is definitely worth having.

I would also recommend Sysclean. I used it to clean a friend's computer, as it was the only thing that would get rid of a deep-rooted trojan. Takes a while to run, but i can't argue with the results.

I TOO AM LOOKING FOR GOOD FREE SOFTWARE, BUT I AM NOT SURE ABOUT THE FREE AVG...? WHEN I WENT TO DOWNLOAD IT, IT TOOK ME TO A PLACE THAT SAID:

STOP!

Before we forward you to the download page, we want to make absolutely sure that you understand the differences between AVG Free and AVG Professional Edition products.

THE FREE VERSION DID NOT SEEM TO OFFER A LOT OF PROTECTION. SO I DO NOT KNOW WHY PEOPLE SAY THAT VERSION IS SO GOOD? I MYSELF DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO GET? WELL, GO TO THIS SOURCE LINK TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE FREE AVG. THIS LINK IS THE LINK THAT AVG TOOK ME TO, TO MAKE ME SURE IF I WANTED TO GET THEIR FREE VERSION. CHECK IT OUT:
