Why not? There's some opticians near where I live saying that if you wear something with the flag on you get 10% off. (it's written on the flag) To be honest does that flag mean much now? Not that I'm unpatriotic etc, but it only comes out for the football!

Wow, that is a strange question. I am American and my Father served his country in the U.S. Navy. You do NOT deface your country's flag in any way shape or form. It is disrespectful in the greatest sense. No, you do not advertise on your countries flag and if I saw it on my counties flag I would boycott whoever made the mistake. Maybe they are allowed to but it is disgraceful.

I don't know if there is any law against that, but I know here in the US if some one put there advertisements on a US flag there would be hell to pay and there would probably be a boycott against them.

I don't think there is any law against it. I'm sure you can include the flag within your ad. Many companies have the union flag somewhere in their ad..
