I dont think that way. I am from pakistan. Everyone thinks India and Pakistan are the same too and when i tell him no i am from Pakistan and not India, they tell me, its the same thing. Usually, americans do that... I tell them, You english rite, and they are like, no american, and then i tell him, same thing, lol...

I don't think that Mexicans and South Americans are the same thing. They are completely different people with different backgrounds. I guess the problem is that a lot of people just look at the color of skin or the language and group everybody according to that. It's kind of sad. Of course, the same error occurs when people try to group all Native Americans into the class "Indian" or something like that. Or people also have trouble classifying the different Asian groups (Japan, Korea, China) even though they speak completely different languages and usually look distinct if you look carefully. So it's really common.

They kinda are. Because they all speak the same language and kinda look the same. Although Latin American languages do differ from eachother, they are very similar.
