Do you think they would have succeeded if they were acts today instead of the early 80's?

If you remember some of the lyrics for George's and People's songs, they were pretty inane. Comma Chameleon? Yuck.

Anyway, the RAP junk has permeated the fabric of the music industry to the point where everything smells like stale garbage.

They would certainly have been successful now, if only for the fact that they are / were different from the mainstream and that is what made them.
