I always try to list my items on a friday evening, just as everyone is getting home from work and relaxing... it also means that your item will be available to view over a weekend (or 2, depending on how long you list for) which increases the chances of a sale (more peole check it out at the weekend). on the days when you can list a lot cheaper than normal say for 5p or 15p.
try to avoid times when the people your item is aimed at are not likely to be on ebay such as school run times if you are selling kids items

Sometime in the evening, say 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., because that's when the majority of people are using computers on their own time.

start on Friday.....and do a 10 day listing...it covers 2 weekends
