I live in a small town, Its mostly all Christians here, nothing at all against Christians, I am one myself, but I dont go to church. There was a petition signed here and sent to our movie theatre saying more than 100 people do not want the movie played here. Now I think that is not fair. I would like to see the movie and see what all the talk is about. Why are some people so against this movie? Is it that bad? If I dont get to see the movie here, I have to travel 2 1/2 hours to another town to see it. I thought the movie looked good.

I believe the reason people have a problem with the book is that it makes Jesus a sexual being. A man that loved a women married and had children. Jesus was allow to have other emotions anger, grief etc but anytime we put sex in the mix the church has a problem..I would be willing to bet the people that have problems with the book have neither read the Bible or the Book. There pastors and clergy have told them (this is bad). Instead of allowing them to form there own opinion. There is a problem when a fictitious book causes this much problem, People you are entitled to believe what you want about your God but people keep in mind we live in a democracy, U have to allow me freedoms to see, read and do what I want as I have to allow you the same. As long as I don't hurt people and or children U have to give the rights and respect that I give you.

The movie isn't bad at all. Nor is it the greatest movie of all time. Some people are against it because of the movies portrayal of the Church, as basically a unit with something to hide. I would tell you about the movie but it will kinda give it away, so simply message me I can tell you more details. I would definitely say no need to do the 2.5 hour travel, just wait for video and then see it, or read the book of course.

I am Catholic, and I found the book to be excellent and had been eagerly awaiting the movie release. You have to remember it's supposed to be entertaining fiction, and if anything else I enjoyed the puzzle solving as much as the controversy. If your faith is weak then you will probably believe anything anyway, and if a book or a movie concerns a person THAT much that they don't allow the movie to be played at the theatre....well I feel sorry for those that petitioned for that. They need to have some better faith and look inside themselves before punishing an entire community.

I did not like the movie. I disagree with how they try to say the bible is a lie. They even agree to continue to cover it up in the end. I beleive if you REALLY love god you would not be OK with people saying that EVERYTHING we beleive is made up even if it was fication. What if they made a movie about your mom being on drugs and the town fun bucket? Would you want the movie to play even if it was fiction for a buck. If you don't have an issues with the movie you should check your relationship with GOD and his son.

I didn't read the book, but after having seen the film, I'm sure the book too is the biggest Sh*t ever. It's really boring, with a stupid story. I already thinked reading the bible and believing in it was stupid, and now, I really think people who believe what's on the da vinci are f*cking morons...

well just lets say in a nice way that the move is S*** cuz it ain't true it takes true facts from the bible and runs with them adding things to them and taking away it is false AND IF YOU LOOK ON THE BACK OF THE BOOK IT SAYS THAT THIS BOOK IS FICTION so you cant go by that its FAKE BS just simply ignore everything you hear about it.

people are against it because it conflicts with the Bible & proposes some pretty ghastly suggestions like Christ fornicating which would have discounted His sinlessness in going to the Cross for our sins....I refuse to see it, but go ahead & let our fellow Christians vent & when it comes out on video or dvd, you can purchase it & watch it in the privacy of your own home.
